RISK MITIGATION IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OUTSOURCING

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the factors that influence risk analysis on outsourcing of information technology (IT) in private sector organizations. The research is characterized by being a descriptive and quantitative study, conducted through a survey. Data were collected through a questionnaire. The sample is not probabilistic and is composed of 59 organizations. We used a convenience sampling process. The research made contributions to understanding the process of risk analysis in the outsourcing of IT services. It identified statistically significant relationships between risk analysis, and organizational characteristics, and identified different organization concerns at different stages of outsourcing life cycle.
